About Seika

International award-winning harpist Seika Dong is an expressive virtuoso performer and a passionate harp teacher.

Indigenous to California, Seika started the harp at age four with Linda Wood Rollo. Seika was the winner of the Lyon and Healy Awards in 2015 and two-time first place winner of the Japan International Harp Competition in 2008 and 2006. Her many national and international achievements were recognized at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music, where she earned her bachelor degree (BM) under Distinguished Professor Susann McDonald with full merit scholarship. Seika also studied abroad in Vienna, Austria where she was immersed in classical music and harp performance with Anneleen Lenaerts, Principal Harpist of the Vienna Philharmonic. 

Seika finished her masters degree (MM) at University of Southern California at the Thornton School of Music with Professor JoAnn Turovsky. She continues her studies at Thornton pursing her doctorate degree (DMA) in Harp Performance with a concentration in music education and marketing. Seika developed her own teaching style during her 6 years teaching undergraduate students as the teaching assistant for the Beginner Harp course at USC Thornton.

Based in Irvine, Seika plays for luxury events in Southern California and teaches privately. She is dedicated to empowering and inspiring students and listeners through her music. Outside of music, Seika has a passion for organic social media marketing, powerlifting, digital art, and creating content for her cats on Instagram.
