Want to learn the harp?
Then let’s get started!
The harp is one the most gorgeous and elegant instruments. Its unique sound and ability to produce beautiful glissandos and arpeggios are incomparable to any other.
It's important to establish a good foundation of technique in order to protect the hands from strain or fatigue and to play pieces with ease. As a harp teacher of 8 years with my Doctor in Musical Arts for Harp Performance and Education from USC, I tailor my lessons to fit your goals and needs whether you’re a beginner or an advanced harpist on pedal or lever harp.
Welcome to the Studio
Here are the lesson types I offer
-
Welcome to my harp studio located in Irvine, California. Here you have access to three harps- my concert grand Lyon and Healy Style 23, my 40 stringed Salvi Daphne, and my electric white lever Camac DHC 32. In person lesson are the most ideal way to learn harp because teaching hand position and learning about sound is just so much easier in person.
-
Hybrid lessons are great for students who live locally to Los Angeles but only be able to drop-in at times and opt for most of our lessons online. The split of how much we do our lessons in person or online can be easily arranged for your convenience.
-
Online lessons are great for the student who don't have or have limited access to a harp teacher. We’ll use which ever video platform is easiest for you and supplement it with video recordings so that you get the support you need when it comes to learning technique. Despite missing the in-person element, I’ve developed techniques and methods to overcome any learning impediments.
